The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should meet the subsequent criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home using a combined gross household income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined house income will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to offer the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their click here South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish nsfas status check to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
